Sorry but i dont know the gas prices in US, So let me tell you guys about the fuel prices here in Sweden.
98 octane gasoline cost 12sek/L = $1.68/L = $6.36/gallon.
And 104 octane E85 cost 8sek/L = $1.12/L = $4.24/gallon.
$4.24 and add 30% and you get $5.51

I was just pointing out to the people that use expensive fuel that with E85 they dont have to mess with it... With E85 you can drive with high octane all time. Which is really nice...

I just checked, theres a texaco here that sells it for 2.19 also. so to go the same distance it would realisticly cost $2.85 with an extra stop at the station.
that being said $2.85 is a nice price for the benefits once you pay to get the car tuned for it. Road trips wouldnt be practical in that car however due to some states dont have it at all. if it became a common fuel and the price went down... it would be a good fuel to use, on top of helping the environment.

Here is another post about E85

Andy had done numerous cars from High compression 427's to boosted to Nitrous
Here is a twin turbo mustang that he did

I know that he has done corn powered procharged mustangs, vettes, and fbody's as well

question: E85s target a/f is 9.6 or whatever, right? So wouldnt we just able to to read our wideband and pretend like its running on gasoline to tune it? what i mean is that if 9.6 is 1 LAMBDA with E-85 then our wideband will show it as 14.7 and we can just tune it like were tuning gasoline. does this make any sense?

Excellent information. I think I am going E85 next year, with a high SCR/DCR heads/cam setup to take advantage of it. Big power from taking advantage of the high octane and eco-friendly.
