Esclade fueling help please!!!!!!!!!! Ok so a few months ago we put a new fuel pump from autozone in a 99 esclade. The car ran fine for about a month or so then the pump went out agian. So the guy put another pump from autozone in it and the same thing happened ran fine for a month then bam it goes out agian. So my question is since it is verry unlikely that 2 new pumps go out. Does the esclade have a common problem that would cause it to burn up pumps. And I already told them that runing it out of fuel can burn up a pump and since the first one went out they havent let it run low. I realize this isnt an LSx based vehicle but Im suspecting an electrical issue and to be honest im not real great with eletrical problems. Ideas?
go buy a GM pump. Make sure the pump shuts off after the key is turned off also. I worked on a Yukon last year that the pump would continue to run for almost 11 minutes after the truck was turned off. The relay was slow to close.
