hey guys
my brothers 1993 cavy fuel pump took a dump on him. The shop wants $500 to replace it, since GM only sells the pump with all this other sh*t like the sending unit and everything....another GREAT idea lol
I was looking at a j-body forumn and some guys are just putting a walbro 190lh fuel pump inline, that way it'll just pull fuel through the bad pump
so my questions are...
does this seem okay? I mean $100 for that fuel pump vs $500
since its probably a hard line, how do i insert the fuel pump between hard lines? just connect it with high pressure hose and band clamps? it runs from 41-47psi
how should I power it? just run a new wire back there? and should I disconnect the stock fuel pump? I'd rather not since i'd probably have to drop the tank to get to it
looking for some options since the car was only $4,000 when he bought it, so paying 1/8th of the original cost just for a fuel pump seems retarded
thanks guys
