need some tech. info?

Just what the title says. My car is having a miss if I accel. fast it misses but normal driving is fine. Recently had it retuned and bumped the boost up from 6 to 12psi. My clutch went out so never really had a chance to hit boost. Got the car back and now the miss. Spoke to the shop that uped the boost and he said that it sound like the fuel pump is going out. From my understanding fuel pumps dont give any warnings they just go out right?

They can cause issues or just go out but you may not have enough fuel with the 12psi. How did they tune it with a bad clutch and not being able to get on it?
