Default Swapping pumps

Will a stock intank fuel pump from a 2000 z28 work on a 1997 z28? the 97 z28 is also stock.

Get a new pump, preferably an upgrade from stock. Because of the difficulty of replacing the pump, it would be a mistake to install a used pump.

the pump is basically new it only has 20,000 miles on it . and pump are really exspensive. and about the difficulty i was plannin on doin the trap door method. so will this pump work in my my 97?? anybody ??
