running alcohol are we able to run alcohol....it cost around 3.00 a gallon.....and I know it makes more power than gas because you burn more fuel with the same amount of air.....I think for gas... its 15lb of air to 1lb of fuel.........and alcohol is around 12lbs of air to 1lb or fuel.....could ou just instal bigger injectors an get it tune to spray in more fuel?
actually you don't make more power with alcohol, it produces less btu's (energy) by about 30% the reason ou can make more power with alcohol is because it has a nigher octane rating 120appx and when in evaporates in the compustion chamber it will actually cool in the intake charge.
you have to replace your entire fuel system to run alchohol no to mention that alchohol tends to wash down the cylinder wall and make it inot the oil desolving it. it sould never be ran in a dd car unless you plan on changing the oil every few hundred miles and have increadibly tight tolerances.......
