Default I've got a big problem.Need HELP!!!

I went ot the tuner and he told me that the car was dropping fuel pressure. At WOT the car would go from 58psi all the way down to 30psi.I changed the pump and went with a Racetronix plug and play and changed the filter and to no avail the car is still dropping pressure. What in the world could be the problem.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You could check the fuel pressure regulator although there isnt much to it.

What power are you making? The plug & play should easily support 550rwhp.

Give me some details of your setup & power level & I'll try to help you out.

I'm nowhere near 550 i'd say around 400 is more like it.I started with the stock fuel pump and took it to the dyno and it was running lean so my tuner told me to change the pump so i installed the Walboro 255 went back to the dyno and it done the same thing.I thought maybe i got a bad pump so i bought the Racetronix went back to the dyno same thing.I changed the filter but the pump is still dropping to about 32 psi WOT.I was told it could be a crimped line somewhere but i don't understand why because i have'nt been anywhere near a line.I'm in desperate need of help b/c i'm tired of blowing money guessing on what's wrong.

What voltage is your alternator putting out? Maybe you have a weak alt or battery? Check the wiring to the pump, could have an issue there. Could be dropping lots of power through the factory wiring if it has degraded much. A hot wire kit would probably be a very good idea.

If you were previously running a bigger pump on stock wiring, it will output much more with a hotwire kit.

400rwhp is possible on a stock pump so I'm not sure why you are having a problem.

The way you are concerned with the hotwire hookup, leads me to believe it is not a Racetronix product. They only have 2 (4 pin) plugs & 2 wires to connect. What brand is this harness?

If you still have pressure issues, I suggest you try to measure the pressure at the filter from the rear of the car. With a little creativity & a few fittings this can be done. Then you can see if the pump or the lines are truely to blame.
