Too Much Fuel and Pressure?

Too Much Fuel and Pressure? I am building a car with an LS7 and have some general questions about fuel systems. As I understand it, the LS7 requires 60psi and is a "return-less" system (only one line to the fuel rails...no return). The pressure bypass will be done by a fuel pressure regulator. Here's a diagram of the proposed system.
Since the pumps in this design are in parallel, am I creating twice the amount of pressure and flow, or, is the maximum of one pump going to be the total?
I guess the real question is can I get away with one pump placed after the
"T"? My only concern is location. I don't want to starve the pump and it's my understanding that this type of pump doesn's suck well.
