fuel pump problem

Default fuel pump problem

all started when we changed rear end and replaced stock intank fuel pmp.replaced with walbro 255.check fuel pmp relay swapped it with either a/c or air pmp relay.they are the same.still pmp doesnt turn on for few seconds.also fuel gauge reading o when it was running.what could be the problem?any help is greatly appreciated.thanks. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

sounds like you left something unplugged or damaged the sender

thanks. got it fixed now.turn out to be a loose connection on the harness.gray hot wire coming from the pmp. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

And to think, a little use of tools (your voltmeter, and dental picks) and some troubleshooting did the trick. To those doing their own pump,or messing with the connector on back wall behind rear seat, careful when you plug it back together that you dont bend the female receiver pin. If you do, the pump may shut off from the realy being tripped due to the male-female loose connection.

Rex, you discounting that bottle opener a little bit for me now?
