Default Fuel pump limits

What is the limit of the fuel pump/system? At ruffly what hp does it no longer keep up? Mine is a 02. Only asking because I'd like to install heads and cam in the car with excess of 500hp+

Default Re: Fuel pump limits

I haven't built up my 02 Formula, but I can say from my previous car a 89 Turbo TA, that an upgrade is wise at those power levels. I would NOT get an inline pump. The Bosche unit on my TTA failed so the intank was trying to push fuel through it and my car was smoking all the way down the track. Luckily nothing melted down, but as you know a serious lean condition is death to a motor, so I would not skimp on the fuel system. I would buy an excellent intank pump which can more than satisfy your fuel needs and be done with it, at least that's my 2 cents.
Regards,
John
