Default fuel pump problem??

hey guys...

i got a question. have you had this problem before?

i got a 98 z . and my fuel pump is whistlin' bad! well not bad, but its very noticeable. have you had this problem? and this past weekend, my SES light came on when I got on the pedal... like the Z struggled in accelerating. well that same night the light went off. days later, i got on it again and the SES light came on.

The thing is that if it is my pump, then it will be the 2nd time replacing it. What should I do???

ANY HELP OR INFORMATION WILL BE APPRECIATED.

THANKS.

Detroit Speedworks does it for $235 labor and $129 for the Walbro GSS340HP. And THAT was for the plastic tank. It's cheaper for the steel.

Go somewhere else!

SC:

Its for the factory GM pump. The local dealership here gave me that price. Are the Walbro pumps any good? I have heard of them but have not researched it. Do you think it will solve my problem? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
