fuel pump problem??
i got a question. have you had this problem before?
i got a 98 z . and my fuel pump is whistlin' bad! well not bad, but its very noticeable. have you had this problem? and this past weekend, my SES light came on when I got on the pedal... like the Z struggled in accelerating. well that same night the light went off. days later, i got on it again and the SES light came on.
The thing is that if it is my pump, then it will be the 2nd time replacing it. What should I do???
ANY HELP OR INFORMATION WILL BE APPRECIATED.
THANKS.

<strong> well...
its my fuel pump going out.
now i got to dish out $981.79 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> to get it fixed (parts and labor). </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">WHAT!!!!!?!?!?!?
Detroit Speedworks does it for $235 labor and $129 for the Walbro GSS340HP. And THAT was for the plastic tank. It's cheaper for the steel.
Go somewhere else!

Its for the factory GM pump. The local dealership here gave me that price. Are the Walbro pumps any good? I have heard of them but have not researched it. Do you think it will solve my problem? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
