This isnt for my LS1, but I'm running a new fuel system on my LT1. I bought all Aeroquip AQP Socketless hose and fittings. I know for the hose ends you just lubricate them and push them on, but what about where the AN fits together, like at the rail and fuel filter?
Do you need any type of sealant on there?
Thanks,
Eric

Thanks Ryan, I know you dont need to seal the threads, but I wasnt sure why they sell O-Rings for them.
My fuel pump assembly uses NPT, so I'll tape those adapters.

Trackbird,
The o-rings are for AN fittings that do not utilize the angle section to provide the seal, ie. flush mounting the fitting and the component.
Several companies (like Areomotive) use AN for thier pump, regulator, and fuel filters. They don't have the internal sealing ring, so they use an o-ring.
As far as angle fittings go, they still have the angular sealing surface, (once tightened, they no longer swivel).

Any fitting that is AN will not need sealant. However if you have any fittings that are NPT (pipe), then you need to use teflon tape/paste. Also, any fitting that is AN that goes into a fuel pump or whatever, that dosen't internally have the 37deg. angle face will need an O-RING.
Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump is one example of where you would need an o-ring.
