fuel line question
thanks
now....to answer your question, I don't think they will fit. I looked into that very mod not long after I got my car (measured the Vette ones) and if they would "work," they would be really tight (they are just too short).
If you wanted to do bradided lines, you could make them with some bradided hose. The process should work the same as how I made my fuel lines. As follows:
When I converted my Z28 to the 97/98 vette fuel rail (return line system), I went to a wrecking yard and dug around in all the GM cars till I found lines that used the same ends as us (check anything GM...Caddies, Pontiac, GMC, etc.....they all use it at some time or another). Get the ones that are metal and you can "feel" the barbs inside the hose (you will need a $5 little tool from PepBoys to remove the quick disconnect from the fuel rail). The hose IS shot, don't care how it looks (dry rot...dont ever use used hoses) but the ends basically last forever. Getting them this way, they are cheap (got mine for like $5 for both lines). Then when you get home, cut the old hose off and soak the ends in WD40 (clean any dirt out of them). Once they are clean (REALLY CLEAN), put your new line on with a band clamp (I used regular fuel line but you should be able to use bradided line) and there you have it, two brand new fuel lines that are custome length and cost less than one from the dealership.
