Default Ticking from fuel Rails?

I have a 98 Z28 and decided to listen.
to the engine today. Ever since the header
install the engine ticking is much louder.
Anways i used part of brooom stick and placed
one end on the Block, oil pan, heads, intake
and mainly heard quite, except the sound of
rushing fluid. When I placed it on the
Fuel rails, man alive. The car sounded like a mad
freaking clock. Is the engine set to tick tock and tell time, Dadgum!

Is it the fuel injectors or fuel pump. I am not too concerned, but it is annoying. Of course a loud radio will cancel out the ticking at idle.
I don't hear it on the road.

What you are hearing is most likely the injector pulse fron them feeding your car fuel. Don't really worry about my car does it too, some are louder than others after certain upgrades. I didnt hear mine until I got my blower and tuning so it's a common thing.
