KB BAP, 40amp version???

KB BAP, 40amp version??? Is there a down side, other than cost, to using the 40amp vs. the 20amp version.
The reason I ask is I remember reading (some where) that the 20amp version could become fatigued during constant use. For example, a lot of continuous WOT while road racing the 40amp version would endure it better...
