OK to run meth through intake as cleaner?

OK to run meth through intake as cleaner? OK well we all know how well methanol will keep components, would it be alright to feed a slow mixture of it through the manifold, like a top end cleaner?
I ran seafoam through, did well, but I still have some buildup on the valves and intake ports I would like cleaned up. Only down fall I see is a possible fouled plug from being too rich, which I would assume I could just lean out my fueling a point or so.
Any comments? I was thinking about running about 20-32 oz. through slowly to see if it will help anything. I understand it may take a few tries.
