Default Does the EVAP line contain any fuel?

I found a hole in a fuel line going to the EVAP unit (charcoal canister?). But I'm wondering why it was leaking gas and if that was really the line that was leaking? (I didn't actually see where it was leaking from, I just saw a big gaping hole in it when I took it out)

I thought the EVAP lines will only have vapor and almost no fuel but there seemed to be a lot of gas dripping when the car was idling in my driveway. Could it have come from there?

Should not have much fuel in there as it is just a vent back to the intake. If there is fuel flowing through there you have a problem.

No fuel, I learned it by pulling mine off to fit my covers.
