Fuel Pressure low

Fuel Pressure low A few months ago (early December to be exact) I finnaly realized the stock fuel pump on my 98 Z28 went out, so I had it replaced by a walbro fuel pump. Well I had installed a fuel pressure gauge, and noticed when I turned the key on, the fuel pressure would hold 40psi, then with the car on, would hold a steady 60psi. These past few days, Ive noticed my cars been down on power, I noticed I dont have any fuel pressure with just the key on, and when I start the car, its roughly 55 or 56, dropping to 50 under laod. That what it read today anyway, which is a few points lower than a few days ago. I also noticed I cant hear the fuel pump whining anymore like I used to. What would be the prob? Is this fuel pump going out again? or are my problems elsewhere. I A-tapped my car, and as was expected, Im running lean. Car is not very heavily modded, mod in the sig. Any help appreciated. TIA

Re: Fuel Pressure low Have you checked your fuel filter. If you still have the stocker in, you need to replace it anyway, at every 10,000miles. I replaced mine with a Canton Racing system. It does sound like you may have a restriction somewhere.

Re: Fuel Pressure low well, in driving the car today, the fuel pressure has dropped even more. It now holds a steady 50psi at idle and cruise but drops to 42 under load! Any suggestions? Only thing I can think of is the fuel pump going out, which sucks since its only 5/6 months old.
