Default 42# injector install question

I've got a P1SC@7psi and some other bolt ons. If I were to just install 42#SVO injectors and not tune the PCM, what would be the result?

I've done this and the car runs very ruff. It feels like theres a vacum leak or something. Is this because the PCM has not been programmed? Or my fuel pump is not pushing enough fuel to injectors? Or the injectors are bad? I'm about to send my PCM off to Ed Write to be flashed and want to make sure that I do the right thing. I just updated my P1SC from 4# to 7# of boost, and have left stock injectors in and dyno tuned my car with the FMU and its running really rich. Anyway, lots of you guys have done this kind of thing, and I just want my car to work right. Thanks

Don't run it w/o the pcm being corrected. It will be(is) too rich. You'll cause a lot of trouble if you continue to run it w/o any adjustment. Too much fuel can wash the oil off the cylinder walls and then you have no protection from damage, and it'll likely start getting gas in the oil.

Azzhauler > I ran the car with the 42#ers for about 1 min. The car wouldn't even hold idle it was so rich. I switched back to the stock injectors and everything went back to normal > I'd like to put the 42#ers back in. My question is > Is that normal for the car to not hold idle and not to be driveable with just putting in 42#ers? I'm going to send my PCM off to fastchips Mon. or tues. and just want to make sure that I make the right decision. Do I get my PCM flashed with stock injectors or do I get the PCM flashed to use the 42#ers? Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks..

yes its normal for the car to run rough when you are pushing way more than the necessary amount of fuel

right now your computer is set to 26# injectors and you just put in 42's.. the computer thinks they are still 26's because you havent told it otherwise and it is runing an extra 16#/hr of fuel through it.. thats like 60% too much gas.
