Hey guys, im going to be installing the racetronix fuel pump kit this weekend, anybody have any tips or pointers? I will be cutting the floor to make the access hole to make things easier. Is there anything else other then the kit i need or should be aware of?

make sure you don't cut too deep. my 2000 had the fuel pump at the back of the tank and we bairly missed the wires. you can see from the thread that I started. I ended up cutting mine to the black sharpie line that I made.

I cut mine just inside the two ribs. Are you going to install an additional feed wire for good voltage?

second the comment on not cutting too deep. even tho i was super careful i ended up nicking the wires with my dremmel on the rear bumper side of the cut. the wires were pressed up against the bottom of the trunk so it was virtually impossible to not cut them. had to redue them before reinstall.

The install went real good, took about 2hrs w/ alot of slackin off and takin my time. The reason for the install was that fuel pressure was bleeding down very quickly and the car would have trouble starting after it sat. Now pressure holds good and it starts right up. Thanks for the help, cuttin the hole was easy, i cut a U and bent up the floor and then bent it back sealed it and put a latch on it when i was done.
