New injectors?
New injectors? Im just wondering if I would need new injectors for my H/C swap? Current mods in signature. Currently 80K miles, stock injectors. New mods to go in:
Stock LS6 heads
Torquer 2 cam
LS6 intake
3400 stall
Stock LS6 heads
Torquer 2 cam
LS6 intake
3400 stall
I see that you have a 2000 model and if I remember they had the smallest injectors I believe 26lbs the 1998 had 28.6 and the 2001,2002 had the best 28.8 but I may be wrong.
are you looking to go further than just that?? if you are i would go ahead and upgrade.
also, if you have the 28.8#ers then I think you will be fine.
if you never look at putting forced induction on your car then i think you will also be fine.
HOWEVER, if you ever plan on doing more, or changing cams or something and since your car needs tuning anyway, I would recommend 36#/hr injectors just for safety and you have breathing room. I'm currently running 42#/hr injectors on my car and running 64% duty cycle; so I still have breathing room. keep in mind, injectors are usually rated at 43.5psi or OTHER and you need to watch for that. BECAUSE our cars tend to run at 58+psi or so.. so take #/hr rating * (58/43.5) and you get your new rating
