'99 injectors in a '98
'99 injectors in a '98 i have a friend who has the most gummed up injectors due to the car sitting for about 5 years with the same gas in it and then running the tank bone dry due to a faulty fuel level sender (he just bought the car and was unaware of this).
my question is, would it be too dangerous to put the stock injectors from my '99 into his '98 and then drive like a granny for about 5 miles to get the car tuned for the new injectors?
currently, the car cranks and cranks but doesn't turn over. it has good spark, new fuel, fuel pump, fuel filter and good pressure at the rails but the injectors seem to be total poo...or so that is my current diagnosis because it has no problem running for a couple seconds on starting fluid and every once in a while we will get a random "i might start for you" feel out of the car.
