fuel system ideas i've been trying to figure out how to fuel my motor when running the big nitrous shot and i think i've got an idea. would i be able to work this out. fuel cell with it's own pump and filter fed into the stock fuel system with like a y block or something. would i be able to hook it up where i can just flip a switch and it would start pumping in conjunction with the stock system. or am i just crazy?
Re: fuel system ideas I don't think that would work very well. You would have to put check valves in each line to prevent back flow.
If your running a dry system, why don't you just add a high volume pump (in tank), a pair of higher flow injectors (if you need them), and keep on going?
If your doing a wet kit, then the idea of a fuel cell that is a SEPERATE system would work if you were going to fill it with race gas. Even that, I would still just "T" off the factory line, add a Walbro intake and go play.

p.s. mine is a truck fuel system being it's in a 2002 silverado. i don't think the walbro intank works on the truck.

Re: fuel system ideas You cut the fuel line (either hard line or rubber line) and put a "t" fitting (or "y" fitting) in the supply line near the engine. Then one pump (fuel system) can supply both the injectors and the nitrous soloniod.
I would think the trucks have an intake pump just like any other car. The exact way its "mounted" may be different but even in F-bodies we have to mod the factory pump holder to mount the Walbro.
