Default Hard starting, Regulator????

OK, I have been searching around and think that I have a bad fuel pressure regulator. I was wondering where it is located on my 2000 camaro. I have seen some pics of it in the tank of a 1998 but is that the same for a 2000? I thought it was on the fuel rail. Please help me out to the location. Thanks

Also, what is the little silver "regulator looking" thing on the fuel rail on the driver's side? Thanks for any help.

The regulator is in the bucket in the tank. It's just an orifice so I doubt it's bad. The fule rail thing helps to equalize fuel pulses.

I went to a friend who is a tech at GM and he said that more then likely that the fuel pressure reg was bad.

It is just annoying to have a nice car and not have it start on the first key stroke.

What else would it be then?
