100 LL Aviation fuel
I assume you could use it with a cat back exhust, but I was woundering if I could use it on my '93 CBR 900 RR that is NOT fuel injected. The fuel is from my flight school where I instruct and is only $1.30 it is 100 Low Lead Aviation Fuel, but I don't see why I wouldn't beable to use it. Just wanted to make sure it wouldn't hurt anything, and see what you guys think, thanks

Re: 100 LL Aviation fuel
i have heard the way it is formulated, it is not a good racing fuel. Just what i have read on this or the other site.
It might have been in the N20 forum, or the Forced induction forums.
Ryan.

Re: 100 LL Aviation fuel
Not really worried about racing, my LS1 is not a daily driver, and I ride the bike all year long down in Fla. just want to make sure it won't mess up my bike. Plus the funny part is the 100LL octane is only $1.30 and 93 octane at the gas statio is almost $2.00

Re: 100 LL Aviation fuel
If the car/bike does not have cats and does not use O2 sensors (its not EFI) then leaded fuel will not cause any problems (besides perhaps shortening the life of the plugs a little.
Lead actually is a nice thing to have in the combustion chamber. Not only does it help prevent knock, it also coats the valve seats and makes them last longer.

On the 900RR, you can run leaded fuel til your heart's content. One of my buddies has been running leaded fuel in his 91 RR and even used it for AMA endurance racing. If your running high lead content fuel, you will see some deposits on the end of your canister.
