Warlboro 340 questions
Have any of you used shrink wrap before??? Do you think that the gas will dissolve it??
Also, on the stock pump there is a small tube that goes upward. On the warlboro, there was no provision for this tube. Can somebody give me a little insight as to what this tube did???
Thanks,
Conrad
I soldered and used shrink wrap and haven't had a problem yet. I just pulled the center section this past weekend after having it in for over a month and the shrink wrap is holding up fine.
As for the little tube. I'm assuming you're referring to the small black tube that connects the lower section to the upper section and is connected to one of the small port holes on the very bottom? If so, this is some sort of syphon and not neccessary. If you look at the pics I took of my setup, I have removed that tube and drilled out the hole where it used to connect to get greater flow of fuel.
Hope this helps,
Mike
i don't really like the setup......but it is really the only option out there. once racetronix gets the new pump done, i'm gonna get that...
btw-heard your car is running well....we need to meet up sometime...

If you are going to solder the wires you have to use Teflon heatshrink. The other option is to use nylon butt splices with a simple crimper.

How did you hear about my car? Just curious who knows what
But if you're interested we have a local group(not the McDs crew) going to the driving range today. We're going to the one in Burtonsville. It's on Route 29 just south of 216(and even further south of 32).
Let me know if you're interested in coming.
Mike
Hey Mike,
No, mine doesn't have yellow accents. I did hear about your car...sounds like it will be quick. I drove and raced a procharged 6 speed f body this weekend......it made like 470. Brutally fast....would beat my car N/A when we got to third gear. Now, I am running the NX MAF kit. The car is absolutely insane on the juice now.
Too bad I have to take classes this summer or else I would go with you guys. Mechanical Engineering is rough!
We need to meet up sometime. I hope to have the 427 in the car by the end of july. Things will get interesting with about 700 nitrous-assisted rwhp! Hope to see some 9 second timeslips!
