Is this a fuel pump sound?
I was driving back to my house when the check gages light came on(due to low fuel), I turned off the freeway on a kind of sharp turn to get on another freeway to get some fuel, While I was turning, but not sharp enough to break the tires loose I heard a slight squeeling sound, I was wondering if while I was turning kind of sharp the fuel was pushed to one end of the tank and starved my fuel pump of fuel causing the squeeling sound? What do you all think? Is that what a dry pump sounds like? I'd like to know, not that I would ever want to do that again!
ThanX in advance.
ThanX in advance. I was out doing burnouts the day before I put a new set of tires on and started to hear a funny squeeling sound. I looked down and i was out of gas. I hurried out the parking lot and the engine died. I coasted into the gas station. Running a dry pump is very loud. It is also very hard on a pump.
