Default 350 Tpi

can i just take a 305 tpi and throw it on a built 350? iam building a 383 stroker with about 450 what would i have to do to make the tpi setup run the motor? what size injectors etc? or any other FI idea youve got for me please let me know

It will work but not well. The TPI has breathing problems with just trying to keep up with a stock motor. Throw a cam in the mix and it causes all kinda of problems. If its a stock cam it will work great. If it was me this is what i would do. SLP runners, vortec intake with vortec heads and a cam and custom tune by Ed Wright. I have been messing with TPI cars a long time and they are NOT cost friendly to make fast. Need more info on your setup to give you a better answer.

Pwebbz28 is right on the money. Its expensive and you gotta do it right. I built a 350tpi with vortec heads and it was nice. Put alot of time and money with about a 365hp motor in the end. Problem is that they make all kinds of torque but not alot of HP due to the long intake runners. If I remember correctly the 305s came with 19lb injectors and 350s came with 22lb injectors.

IMO find an LS1 for a swap or even an LT1. Both are much easier to modify and make better HP...at the same time I have always loved the way the TPI looks under the hood of the third gens.

The main problem is, when the cam is about ready to really work, then intake runs out. Extensive upper plenum and runner porting is needed to make it really shine. You could always buy an accel superram and use the vortec lower

yea iam not gonan blow money on sumtin thats gona suck anyways lol, ill just slap a carb on there till i can figure out a new idea, plus i like the thought of being able to tune my own **** with a screwdriver and not my laptop
