Default leaking gas after walbro install?

I had someone put in the walbro fuel pump and it seems to be working ok. However I got the 0440 Evap code on the SES light, and also when i filled up the gas tank, it leaked out under my gas tank...
any thoughts?

The tank seal may not be properly installed under the sender, or the fuel inlet tube is not properly installed on the tank. There could be others, but this is a good start.

I did not do the install myself, how do i get to this stuff exactly?
I know the tank wasnt dropped and i think the entrance was somewhere from inside the hatch. If anyone has a site with pictures, i would greatly appreciate that.
