Return line to the tank??
Okay I'm REALLY new to the fuel stuff, but I have spent about 2 weeks searching and reading before I posted any questions. I pretty much understand how the fuel system on our cars work now and am planning on upgrading my fuel system. I'm going to be pretty simple with it as I'm not going to be running boost just heads/cam. Here's what I'm planning to use: Racetronix High-Performace Plug & Play Fuel System, LS1Speed Fuel Rails and Aeromotive Regulator. Okay so this is what I basically understand. I will use the factory high pressure line and just install a AN hardline adapter and run to the back of my intake to a Y and into the fuel rails, then out the front of each fuel rail into the regulator then out the bottom of the regulator into a new return line to the tank. Now the questions
Does the new return line just dump back into the tank or what happens to it? I know that the factory regulator is in the tank which I will be removing, but does it have a external hardline that I can tap into with my new return line? Or what do I do with it once I have it back at the tank? Next and final question is where do I connect up for a fuel pressure gauge on the regulator? Is there a place on the regulator to connect it?
Sorry for being long and Thanks for any help

ya you can just dump the new return line back into the tank.
i am using the old feed line as the return aand dumping it back into the tank inside.
there should be an extra connection on the regulator to hook up a gauge if not you'll hav eot get an adapter.

if just heads and cam? why bother with new rails and line?
the stock stuff can hold over 500rwhp. so just get a 255 pump and be done with it
p.s. its not worth upgrading the rails at all if you are still seding the fuel through the origial pressure line.

I know I REALLY do not need to do all this, I don't like the look of the factory fuel rails and I even polished them up to where they look like chrome and still am not happy with them. I also like the idea of having the FPR up close to the rails.
So would it be better to run a new high pressure line and use the old pressure line as a new return as you did? I was really wanting to do all this with as little troble as possible. Wouldn't I benifit as least some by doing this?
Thanks

We have high flow fuel rail kit that bolts directly to your stock fuel system. You could upgrade the lines at a later date or do a new feed line to the tank.
Nasty Performance High Flow Fuel Rails $160.00
Same Fuel Rails Bolt on to stock lines $270.00
Or we can set you up with new line all the way to the tank.

lots of ways to do it, but leaving good enough alone would by far be the least trouble.
i wouldnt waste money trying to compromise somewhere 'in between'

I go along with your thoughts as I don't care for the looks of the stock setup.I have spent money on my car that was just for looks and didn't add any hp at all and fuel rails are one area I am looking to replace.Nasty has one I am thinking very hard to get.
