I'm having problem with the fuel tank in my 98 firebird. It has rust in it and the injectors are stopping up causing it to shut my car down. I have a new pump but now I need a new tank. My question is what years are interchangeable with the metal gas tank that the 98 firebird has. PLEASE HELP???????????????????????????

 

The '98 is the odd year as it is the only LS1 with metal tank, so '99
& newer are different.

I know for sure the sending units are different than the 93-97 cars. Unfortunately, I cannot say for sure if the tank will interchange with the 93-97 LT1 cars which are all metal.

Wish I had more info for you, but unfortunately I do not have many requests for '98 builds. The tanks look like the LT1 models, but I never compared them side by side to say for sure.
