boost-a-pump problem please help!
Got a question on my fuel problem. Well it started with the first pump i put in which was a zex in line pump. Put this pump in, wired it up, then cranked the car and it pegged out my fp gauge at 100+ psi, so i killed it. Couldn't figure it out, so i called zex. Gave them the part number (82020) and comes to find out this pump will not work its rated @ 265lph @ 40 psi. So i disconnect the power to it and the car is now running 68-70 psi on the stock pump per my gauge. So i called Vengeance and they recommended the bbk pump. So i went down there yesterday morning and picked it up, got home and put it in. Now the car with that pump is reading 85 psi but the car run's fine (not like it did with the other pump). My question is could my sending unit for my gauge possibly get screwed up when it maxed it out or could my regulator have got screwed up. I need to get this fixed asap cause it is scheduled to go on the dyno thursday and i will only have wednesday night and thursday morning to get this working. The gauge is a b&m electric gauge and its on an 02 SS Camaro. Only thing i have left is to figure this out and wire my noids. PLEASE HELP!
ALSO FORGOT TO MENTION THAT I HAD A ZEX PUMP MOUNTED IN THE LINE GOING TO THE RAIL, NOW SINCE I REMOVED THAT I HAD A CUT PIECE OF THE METAL LINE SO I JUST PUT A HIGH PRESSURE RUBBER LINE IN THAT PLACE, COULD THIS BE CAUSING A RESTRICTION AND MAKING THE PRESSURE GO TOO HIGH?
