Can injectors be to big?
As long as the pulse width you need to idle isn't less than the min your injector can give... what's the problem?
I think if your car had to command .5 ms to idle and 1 ms was the least it could do then you would just be too rich at idle. It should still run.

When you start running very large injectors (>60lb) the idle pulse width becomes very low and you start running into the minimum PW that actually flows any fuel. You start seeing poor atomization and potentially puddling. Which leads to erratic idle in most cases.
