Default installing racetronix...2 quick questions

hey whats up everybody..this weekend i'm gonna be installing my nitrous kit, and my racetronix fuel pump..I'm gonna be cutting an access panel instead of dropping the tank, i've searched on how to do it and found a good write up on how to do it on an LT1..is the fuel pump in the same spot on an LT1 as it is on a 99 LS1?? the write up i found has all the dimensions on where to measure and cut, but i just want to make sure before i start cutting that its in the same spot...My second question is after i install my fuel pump am i going to need to get my car re-tuned or is my a/f ratio gonna remain the same? Alright well i know these sound like pretty dumb questions but i just want to make sure i have my basis covered before i start the install this weekend..I cant wait to get this kit installed and start spraying ..alright well thanks for any help you guys can give me.

Racetronix HIGHLY rec. dropping the tank because you need to clean it out as the debree in the bottom of your tank will kill your new pump in no time.

hey i'm not gonna drop the tank so do you know if the pump is in the same location as the LT1? I appreciate the reply..i feel if there was that much crap in the bottom of my tank, my stock pump would have died by now..

No, it is not in the same location as the LT1, although the work is the same. Find one specific for the LS1. I don't have a link for it (since I have an LT1) but I have seen the writeups and the location is different.
Dropping the tank is recommended, but not required.
No tune is required, AFR is not affected.
Best of luck.

Sure it will. Did mine that way, absolutely no problems. Most of the kit is under the car, not in or on the tank.
