Flowmatched or no?
Flowmatched or no? Hey all, I'm about to buy some mototron 60's and I found some flowmatched and some not. There is about a $40 difference between the two. Is it worth the extra money to get flowmatched?
Keep in mind that a typical injector set with 5% variance, will have a variance of about .5 to .6 points depending on your air/fuel ratio. This means you can have 1 cylinder at 12.5:1 & another at 13.1:1. This is quite a variance.
Generally you get what you pay for.
Some sell flowmatched injectors that are really only flow tested to prove they have a 5% or less variance, some are rated at 3%, some at 2% & some at 1% & under.
I stock the Racetronix sets which are 1% verified.
Personally I would spend the extra to know it is correct, which is cheaper than burning a piston because 1 cylinder was lean.
