fuel pressure too high?

my fuel gauge is reading 71psi??? I'm not sure my car has a stock fuel pump.
And I'm running a 75pill and the FPSS cuts off around 5000RPM.

I'm pretty sure I have a stock pump and m gauge is fu&*ed up.

I'm thinking about running a walbro or dual walbro too handle my 125pill...

What is your fuel pressure when the fpss cuts out? 71 is pretty high and would surely make you run rich. maybe get another gauge and check to be sure.

My pump is stock and runs between 58 and 63 psi with 42lb injectors. 70's sound high

70psi is weirdly high..

I didnt noticed the pressure when the fpss cuts out, but I was worried about my engine!

I'm not even sure if its the fpss or detonation, I let off as soon as it did and after, small backfires popped from the exhaust tips.
