Default Car wont start....think its the fuel pump

i was driving and suddenly it seemed to have lost power and i couldnt go over 2k rpms i managed to make it down the street and i stopped at a light. there was a driveway on my left and i tried to make it in there but it lost all power and died. it still would start and crank but barely run. I was low on gas and i thought i just ran out of gas but i went to the gas station and got 2 gallons of gas and it still would start but barely run. I had to get it towed to my house and i checked the fuel pressure and it was very LOW and now it wont start at all. car has 120k on it, i dont know if this is the original fuel pump or not but im guessing it is original.

So does this sound like a fuel pump issue? or could it be something else?

also before all this happened the engine ran perfect but today when i started it up it had a hard time cranking.

generally fuel pumps start acting up once theyve been driven a little while and had a chance to get hot. also on fuel pumps if theyve been ran low to many times it burns them up because they also use the fuel to cool the unit. but yes it does sound like a fuel pump issue. also check and make sure ur fuel filter hasnt come apart. i donno how many people have come in and i get to clean out there fuel lines because they werent smart enough to change out a 20 dollar fuel filter every so often. i beleive ur problem to be a fuel pump. check the voltage going to it also to make sure u dont have an electrical problem. as long as u have good voltage going in its most likely fuel pump. ocasionally ive seen fuel pump drivers go bad but more often than not its the pump. just do some little checks and u should be good to go with installing a new pump. and with ur milage i dont doubt it. nows a good time to put in racetronix setup

Similar problem w/ me. Although mine after putting in 2 gallons did turn on good. However, it takes longer to fire up.

My car is completely stock, can I just upgrade to a racetronix? Or is it overkill?
