Help!! fuel pump dies w/hot

make sure you dont have the pump too low and its cavitating trying to suck against the bottom of the tank

I would check resistance to battery on both of the pump terminals as well.. could be a very bad connection running the amps up

it also could be some major restriction in one of the lines.. change your filter and make sure you dont have your lines crushed/kinked comming out of the tank and down the car

that forgery is an interesting read! i agree buy them from the places that deal direct with walbro.

Im having the same issue as you are/did with my walbro... Not sure on the last three digits yet as I have not pulled it yet.

But, I ended up getting a Granatelli 255 pump along with a fuel cooler from summit, I hope that will help it live longer.

well, I just took the old one out, and it was a 169 walbro. So, I ordered a pump from summit and its says "Granatelli Motorsports.. Well, its a 169 walbro pump too.
