Default stuck injectors?

Is it true that with the fuel rail lifted above the manifold you can test the injectors by turning the key on? I was told if they spray with the key on only they are stuck.

read the last part of your sentence there... help me understand that.

with simply the key on the injectors do NOT pulse. if you want to test each injector, pull off your fuel rail..meaning disconnect it from the rest of the car with the injectors. hook up an air tank with a hose and turn nozzle to the fuel rail. turn the air tank just so slightly so a few psi goes into the rail. get you a 12v battery and contact both leads of each injector for just a quick second. if it hisses and/or makes you wet then they work.

i had to do this to one of my racetronix injectors...it was just stuck.. idk why and its been working fine since

Sorry for not making myself clear. I was halfway between the computer and the garage(mentally).

Your reply explains things pretty well. I had the fuel rail on the car but lifted so the injectors were just out of their holes. I turned on the key and at least 3 of them sprayed fuel and a couple of them dripped.
As you stated, they don't receive a signal to pulse with the key in the on position. So, if they allow fuel through then they must be sticking.

Key on, engine off. Any injector that drips, squirts, or gets damp is a leaker.
