Why do you think there was the variation in EGT ?

Driver box issue ? Injector issue ? Where the injectors flow matched ? Can you trim individual cylinder's fuelling, to try and get EGT's closer to the other cylinders ?

it was something in the driver box,

i flowed the injectors when they arrived and they were perfect,

no matter how much trimming you can do it would still not make up for that sort of difference, 200deg is huge, any thing more than 30deg and i start to worry that something isnt right

I just had a bit of an insane idea. For a drag only application (although maybe others too), what about using something like a GMPP or Edelbrock Victor EFI manifold, but actually putting a carb on it? With the addition of a TPS sensor, the jetting on the carb and the EFI tuning could be tweaked to give more than double the gasoline flow, while maintaining the driveability of the original EFI. This could be a really bizarre answer to keeping the stock ECU, but still providing the required fuel. I'm sure it would be more complicated than it sounds, but it would only cost the price of a carb, and would DEFINITELY be one of a kind. BTW, I realize that this could almost certainly not work with a MAF, but it seems doable in SD.
EDIT-- I think this idea would only work on an M6 or other non-computer controlled transmission.

This particular car was a twin turbo LSX engine (now going to single) and the whole exercise was to try and fix this problem with out spending really any more money but doing it in a good reliable way... the extra PCM and injectors we already have and the loom will cost nothing to upgrade...

already enough money has been poured into the chasis

when you see what this car has come from and to and then the next stage it is really hard to believe

Started out as this

Ended up as this

Raced

Now being modified again

Haha, I just saw your thread on LS1.au not an hour ago trying to find the Tex Racing site. I just didn't make the connection until you posted those pictures.

I wasn't suggesting that idea for anyone in particular, it just seemed like a novel concept that went through my head while reading this thread.

How about throwing an SU on the front as a throttle body

just a little update,

Doubleip has our harness and is making the changes required to run the second PCM, i have done a tune for the second pcm, it is ready to flash into a spare pcm i have here,

basically we will be running the 79lb injectors as the main injectors and using a set of stock LS6 injectors to give us the head room we need to make 1500hp while retaining the full sequintal injection and using parts we have lying around at the shop,

at a later date if we need a little more fuel flow ill just get a set of 42's and that will give us everything we need

we never ended up running 2 LS1 PCM's.. yes it is done easily .. but we ended up running a LS1 PCM and a Microtech LT16S..

reason being that we ran 16 INDY Blue injectors which the LS1 injector drivers cant handle

LS1 PCM used for the timing

Microtech used for the Injectors and connected directly to the PCS Dash

Car has only done a 3/4 pass and ran a 8.2 @ 155.. will be good for a mid to low 7

Has 1022 RWHP on the Dyno

its an animal off the line .. willbe turning the boost down a little when on the 2step for a softer launch .. hopefully in a month or so will be able to go back out and run a full pass to net that 7sec pass

Hope I dont look like a fool for reccomending this when someone already has or it has already been ruled out....but why not use 1 pcm, the new Bosch 2000cc injectors that are high impedance and a mechanical fuel pump? Those injectors can flow lots of fuel (3000+cc's) at higher fuel pressures.
