I need somebody to ATAP me!!!
OK....so I'm having an issue at high RPM getting a "Tick....tick...tick..tick........................ tick......"random intervals...so I think Its detonation or ping....But I have no way of raelly telling whats going on.
I just need somebody close to me to tell me what the scoop is with their autotap. I have the "LID" ported MAF with 1k resistor(actually just tried 800 and it didnt make much difference) fernco bellows, ported Throttle body with bump stop mod(4.60v). SLP LoudMouth currently on with no cats and o2 simms.... I have some headers that will be going on at the end of the month over the holiday weekend...and I'm ordering true duals for it with an x-pipe.
I just need somenody to ATAP me and I live in the Kansas City Area. I dont want to spend a fortune... but I will make it worth your while...either with some cash or a meal or something......HELP!!!!HELP!!!!!HELP!!!!

Does the ticking sound like a sewing machine?
If so, it may just be an exhaust leak. To check for that, block the exhaust outlets with towels and turn the car on. Leaks make themselves very evident then.

no...its random intervals...sounds like detonation...I'm wondering if my fuel pump is dropping pressure or something.... eithr way... I need somebody to ATAP me and tell me whats going on for sure.

Hmmm...I'd help ya out but, I don't have a serial cable long enough to reach out there.

Try putting a stock MAF back on if you have access to one. Lots of times ported MAFs will cause lean conditions and the computer to add extra timing which can contribute to detonation.
The resistor mod probably isn't helping matters either. Take that off first and let the computer see what the real air temp is. That way it won't add any extra timing thinking it's cold out. You've got two mods now that add timing and one that causes the motor to run leaner. Not a good combo. 
If you can't get anyone to ATAP it check into getting a Scanmaster if you don't want to shell out for a Laptop and ATAP. Ramchargers and some other sponsors sell them I believe. Here is a link.

no...the rsisto I'm talking about is a 1k ohm resistor so the MAF reports the correct amount of air... and that should keep me neutral.... However I I think Its Maybe Fuel Pump related....
I have headers goin on...and I will eventually go and get it tuned from Raging Randy....but I gotta MAke More Money First..... However..I do HAve a really good Intake Porting job going on with the MAF and TB Plus a Lid
