What to use to cover trapdoor?

What to use to cover trapdoor? I cut a trapdoor for the racetronix kit. What would be the best thing to use to cover it? Im looking for a piece of non-corrosive metal. I haven't been able to find any. A couple hardware stores had like tin sheets but i know they will rust like none other.

I went to online metals.com and ordered a plate of 1/4" thick aluminum from them. You can order a specific size, and any thickness and material you could ever want from them (even titanium). I just took that, drilled and countersunk four holes, and used sheet metal screws and thick weather stripping to hold it all down and seal it. I couldn't have been happier with how it turned out.

its actually only mcmaster.com... but they are very expensive for metals. What happened to the stock piece you cut out? I just reused my stock piece with some hinges...
