Lower o-ring retainer, do you need it??

I had a sputtering problem after re-installing my LS1 intake and fuel rail. FOund that it was leaking fuel via bad orings on a couple cylinders. The little orange/brown plastic retainer for the o-ring was cracked on a couple injectors and one was actually broken. I cant seem to find them anywhere, my question is; Do you need them?

Sounds like you pinched a couple orings on reassembly. Check and replace the orings that got nicked and use some grease to aid on install.

Yeah, replacing the O-rings for sure.

The part Im looking at is the spacer that goes between the injector and intake, its attached to the injector from the factory but the rebuild kits I purchased from Napa dont attach. DO THE SPACERS HAVE TO BE SECURE TO THE INJECTOR?
