NO fuel pressure

NO fuel pressure so my car dies last weekend while i was driveing, i pulled over an dhad it towed home.....whn i got home i started looking into the problem...the car whould crank over, lights work, and the volt gauge is reading fine, the car cranks and every few cranks it will start and thn it will try to idle, i try giveing it gas , but it just dies and shakes....so i hooked up a fuel pressure gauge and i am only getting 4-5 psi!...i replaced the fuel filter and it made a little difference, it seemed like it whould idle a little higher, but it whould still die....whn i put my keys to acc, i can still hear the pump prime, but just bc it primes does not mean it working right?.....so im thinking its the pump so im gnna order the racetronix kit with harness, i already have a hole cut in my hatch....does the kit come with detailed instructions for the install?
