Default Cam Install now fuel problem...

Ok my car is a 98 SS A4.... I installed a LS1 HotCam and LS6 Springs... Now my problem is that Sometime it turns off at start up and at high RPM's it feels like it is tugging back or like it needs more fuel. First thing that comes to my head is Fuel pump... what do you all think? By the way I have a tune and my mods are in my sig... and a quick question what fuel pressure should I be pushing as far as I know its the factory pump.

Oh yeah another thing is that when I gun it at 20-50mph in Overdrive SOMETIMES it stays in gear and never drop down unless I manually shift it... can this also be the fuel pump or maybe the tune or something? any ideas...

Sounds like it could be a tuning problem. Have your tuner check your vacuum tables, or VE tables in the tune. I had the same problem with my 98 not wanting to downshift atfer puting a cam in, and my tuner had to alter the VE tables to get it to work properly.

I told him but he keeps blaming something else... Either way I am gonna take it back to hime after the headers install... He said that it was because the car had the cats on and it couldn't breathe right

Same issue with me and my 224 on my 98 A4. Its in the tune. update knock sensors to the new style as well. And drill out TB a slight to get it all up to snuff.

By update knock sensors what do you mean? just the sensors themselfs or harness and everything? And off a newer Camaro or turck or what?
