i would have thought cali is running their gas with ethanol for a while now as the reason they did that was to improve the air quality..... we all know cali air sucks, there's no denying it...

go run 40 tanks and all that bullshit, it's going to be the same until you get out of the DFW county, we got switched over about 3 years ago. lame i know but what ever

Where were you located in CA? If you were in any of the major metropolitan areas, the gas would have been "reformulated" just like DFW.

BTW, most gas in the heartland has about 10% ethanol these days.

How do you know or find out if your local gas has ethanol in it?

When i was in Cali i was located in a small town called Lemoore in the Central Valley. The guys at the shop where i took my Z to get it looked at told me they started putting ethanol in the gas here. Also a couple of guys at O'Riley's told me the same thing. So far since ive moved back home ive tried Texaco, Chevron, QT, and I just filled up at Shell a couple of days ago in Denton. So ill see how this next tank goes, also st Shell I used mid-grade just to see if maybe there is less Ethanol in it.

Yeah you were right. I was at the Tom Thumb gas station and i saw the sticker. Now i just need to find a gas station that doesn't use ethanol.

gotta get out of the dfw county to get clean gas, but by the time you go out and come back you would have wasted those extra gallons lol

Yeah seriously! If i were to move anywhere it would be to Arizona cause the gas is so cheap. You know when me and my wife moved back from Cali the price of gas dropped a whole dollar when we crossed the border from Cali to Arizona. Just goes to show you how Cali is ripping people off on gas prices! I cant believe i lived there for 4 years!

I haven't gotten more gas yet, but i'll look for the sticker. I'm in the Austin, TX area and I have only used Shell gas. Gas prices went down to $4.00 for 93, lol. I also managed to get 13.5 MPG out of my 402....all city.
