I just installed a fuel pump and was wondering if it is necessary to cut the bucket on a 1999+ Camaro?

don't believe so.......I installed 2 pumps in mine and had to modify bucket slightly

I ended up pulling it back out and making a slit at the bottom and cutting a small window on the side near the bottom as well, Now I just have to make sure to keep the fuel above 1/4 tank
