Default how much hp can I support?

I have:

- Walbro 340 (255 Liter/hour) intake pump
- converted to "standard" return style system
- 97 corvette fuel rail (adjustable regulator on rail)
- SVO 36# injectors (flow 46.7# @ my 66psi fuel pressure)

1) I want to do a 441 CI motor (4.125" bore and 4.125" stroke) and "HOPE" to make ~550rwhp.....

2) THEN, "some time" down the road I MIGHT do a 150hp port injection wet shot on top of the 441....

Do I need to upgrade my system or will I be good to go?

you pump lines, rails should be albe to suport a little over 600rwhp.
looks like your limiting factor will be your injectors? how much will 36's support?

46.7# works out to 600 flywheel HP @80% duty cycle, 750 flywheel @100% duty. Are those SVOs rated at 39 or 43.5 psi? If they are rated at 43.5 (3-bar) then they'll flow slightly less, 44.3 at your pressure.

cool...that’s what I calculated but wanted to get a second opinion....

I have been "told" that SVOs are rated at 39psi (anyone else know?)...

with a M6, the drivetrain loss is at about 12% (I think). If so:

600 flywheel * .87 = only 522rwhp

I don't know if I'm going to have enough injector...

Hmm. Well your looking for 550 HP + 150 shot. If the shot is direct port, that'll also tax the injectors right? A base wet kit would supply it's own fuel. So if direct port, 550 + 150 = 700 RWHP or 800 flywheel. That's gonna blow past 100% duty whether they are rated at 43.5 or 39 lbs. If you ran a regular wet shot, 550 RWHP = ~630 flywheel. That's over 80%, but under 100%. . . about 84% duty. What kind of shot you want?

Direct port is where you drill the intake runners (near the injector) for 8 individual nozzles and inject both fuel AND nitrous. It’s the REAL way to do a wet system (none of this BS of having fuel flow down through the TB ). Therefore I’m not worried about the injectors when I go with the "spray" (only can they supply the engine for N/A operation), rather will the fuel pump and lines be able to flow enough fuel TO the rail to support the injectors (for 550 rwhp) AND the 150 port shot.

i have seen 42's support OVER 600rwhp or in actual power a 3400lb car to 10.04@136
42's would be plenty.

Just for precaution I would go to a -10 size line designed for fuel injection. You are just saving your own *** in doing this. Using a stock system is playing roulette. Your number just might come up. You might give Goodridge a call and get a catalog, or maybe get a tech on the horn and tell him your application and what you are wanting. They are knowledgable and friendly. Everbody uses them from a Indy to CART to stock cars. They have a reputation, and they don't **** around. With a machine like you've got you most definitely have the tools to properly route and fabricate fuel line once you get the line, hose and fittings from Goodridge. Here's a few places to call. I'd call Goodridge first and get a giant catalog. The others are racer shops.
