LS1 tank FPR questions
I'm installing a 99-02 LS1 plastic fuel tank in an older f-body(86) with a LT1. I got the fuel lines and wiring figured out, the LS1 in-tank fuel pressure regulator is the problem.
Is there a way to bypass the LS1 fuel pressure regulator that is in the LS1 tank or is there a way to completely remove it? I want a fuel setup where the F.P.R. is located near the injectors.
I know I could use a 99-02 V6 f-body tank because those have the traditional fuel setup where the FPR isn't in the tank. However, I already have a LS1 tank and would like to make it work.
Also, is the FPR located on the LS1 sending unit? Then I might be able to swap in a V6 sending unit and if I did that would I be able to run dual fuel pumps in the future?

the FPR is right on the sender. you should be able to remove it since you are probably not using the factory harness. you would be able to use a conventional FPR on the rail with a return line.
