Default BMR TRak PAk Torque Arm

Ok guys/gals, I went out and bought the BMR TRak Pak Torque arm and my silly self didn't think about that its cross piece that goes across the chassis RIGHT WHERE THE STS COLD PIPE IS....

SO, what can i do here? I want to keep my ground clearance...so I wasn't willing to go low with the tq arm as my welder friend said he COULD have done.

Also, my car is not lowered, so wouldn't the stock tq arm suffice??

This is what i bought:

and then I saw this:

What I was also considering was just selling my tq arm, and sticking with the stock unit and doing the rear control arm relocation brackets that lower the control arms, as my friend told me that would help the best.
if photobucket would work right now.... i could upload my pics

well first ask yourself what your future rear end plans are...

are you going to keep the 10 bolt forever, or upgrade to something stronger down the line? Make sure whatever you get t/a wise you can use if you upgrade the rear end down the road...

The factory torque arm is known the break, check out this link. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...php?service=58

There are other torque arms that you could go with which won't be in the way. The combination of the two links below should work for you. Bob

ok i see the two items, one is a new torque arm, and the other is a relocation kit.

do I need to buy the relocation kit AND the new full length torque arm?

I'm going to lay in the garage or put her on ramps and see how long this tq arm is that I have, from what I remember, now all I have to do is buy the relocation kit,

BUT what is the ground clearance on that thing?

The Trak Pak is a totally different torque arm than the one provided in the link above. To use the relocation kit will require the other torque arm.

The Trak Pak does provide excellent ground clearance, and is one of my favorite torque arms. Bob

So I need to sell the one I currently have, and then purchase the new TQ arm and relocation kit as you posted in those two links. (just confirming that, making sure thats why you posted those two together) - pardon the ignorance

do you know how the ground clearance is with the relocation piece that you mentioned above?

Bob is correct, the full length arm TA001 and relocation crossmember will not interfere with your STS pipe. We offer the relocation bracket for any transmission combination that you might have. The purpose of the relocation bracket is to save the tailshaft on the transmission from breaking. The lca's and relocation brackets are a good choice also but the stock torque arm is prone to bending or breaking. Give us a call if you have any questions.
